decided to log in while waiting for cw to wash the bird shit off his head.. haha.. we were just out of the hostel to take the shuttle to the salt mine here in krakow.. then some silly bird decided to do its business on him.. haha.. oh well..

yeah.. yesterday was a great day.. y? because pk finally decided to treat us all ice cream!!!! surprise!!! haha.. after all the suaning abt the 1 liter beer tt he owe us.. oh well.. better late than never.. sry rl n zer.. u guys din stay long enough with us to enjoy it.. =P

after all the travel in europe.. i finally managed to jump into one of those road side cafes in the main city square n slowly enjoyed a nice glass of ice cold beer while waiting for nothin to happen.. nice.. wohoo...

shd be heading back to to copenhagen tmr afternoon n then flight back to SG on the 4th evening.. just saw the news abt the bombing in UK.. sigh.. we r certainly gg to had a hell of waiting time at the airport.. zzz..

oh.. i tink i forget to mention in the previous post tt i cut my hair in lisbon.. haha.. we went to some old school barber shop.. cost us ard 20 SGD but still cheaper than in CPH lah.. oh well.. couldnt stand my long hair anymore then.. wasnt realli happy with the cut actually.. but i was never happy after i cut my hair.. yeah.. watever..

haha.. yes.. indeed i am still alive.. hadnt had the chance to touch the internet since i left Lisbon, Portugal.. had visited quite a few places and done some crazy things so far..

while i was in Spain watched spanish bull fighting in Madrid.. lost my train pass when i was in Madrid so i had to start buying individual train tix along the wa.. lost a few hundred bucks there.. onli to realise tt actually not buying the train pass from the start would had been cheaper.. but i decided not to let it spoil my Europe Tour n so went on to sun tanned and sun burnt in Barcelona..

when i was in Switzerland.. i felt super bored in Geneva but went crazy when i skydived near the Alps in Interlaken.. wohoo!! thumbs up for tt.. no words can discribe it.. yeah man.. tt was way cool..

hopped on another train n i was already in the fashion city Milan, Italy.. went on for a small trip in Florence n did some dumb silly poses at the leaning tower of Pisa.. haha yeah.. tt was quite fun.. stayed for quite some time in Rome to take a break from all the rushing but it was still realli cool

caught a night flight to Athens, Greece n almost burnt ourselves coz it was realli hot.. nice city..

n now i am in istanbul, Turkey.. gd change after seeing so many churches.. some nice mosques here.. haha

dun have time to process the photos of these places yet.. pretty crazy going ard everyday.. haha but i am uploading some photos from previous trips :p haha..

go check out Amsterdam.. finally managed to properly upload the photos.. got interrupted while doing it in Lisbon.. din had a chance to finish it after tt

will be heading to Eastern Europe n back to Denmark soon to get my results.. wish mi luck..

June Trip: Portugal - Lisbon

just to update a bit.. we finally embarked on our JUNE TRIP!!! wohoo!!! yeah.. after one mth of study break from travelling.. ahah.. feel nice to travel again...!!! yay!!! the best thing is.. no need to read notes on the plane n on the trains this time!!! haha.. damn cool..

aniwae we just had our 1st day in Lisbon.. sry cant upload photos.. either the connection here is too slow or my pix file too big.. haha.. oh well.. aniwae.. pk has been given a new name.. haha he is now Jennifer Goh Pei Kai... haha its a realli long story n i dun wanna bored u with the reason tt u prob wun find it funny.. haha just fyi.. lol

haha... Cesky Kumlov is a realli lovely place... a small n well preserved place.. the whole place is under the protection of UNICEF or smthin =P.. nice place to relax n enjoy fresh air.

a word of caution though.. if u r going there.. take the bus not the train.. coz the train station if quite far from the town n pple there dun realli speak english.. wats more is tt eastern europe trains ain very reliable.. we almost missed our flight when we were heading back =P phew..

Czech Republic Trip: Prague

Prague: our 1st Eastern Europe stop..

too bad cw cant join us coz of some silly mistake tt he n pk made [of which i still cannot understand wat went wrong.. lol]

aniwae.. prague is a highly reccommended destination in eastern europe... apparently everyone must go there if they go eastern europe..

haha.. but its either i have seen too many places or my expectation was too hyped up.. din realli impress mi =P nevertheless.. it was a great place to visit =]

Easter Trip: Germany [Berlin]

ok.. this is the last leg of the easter trip.. Berlin.. haha... actually.. all along i keep tinking that Munich is more interesting than berlin, although the rest tink otherwise... but after uploading the photos.. i realised that Berlin also quite some stuff to catch.. oh well.. but i would say most r things related to the wars that occured there and abt the Berlin Wall itself.. watever it is.. still enjoyed ourselves pretty much there..

the 1st thing tt greeted us was one of the few legolands in Europe.. ahha

the hostel we stayed in was realli OUT OF THE WAY... it was from HI n super inaccessible.. had to walk a long distance everytime we go in n out.. but.. the breakfast was SUPERB... no complains at all.. free flow of scramble eggs.. ham n many many more!!! wohoo!!! ahah.. prob to provide for the energy to walk in n out if the hostel.. ahha

we went to pay a visit to one of the concentration camps that was left behind from WW2..

too bad chee wei wasnt able to join us from this point onwards.. actually we planned to go back together.. but it turned out tt there wasnt tix for the date n time we planned to head back.. but cw had a presentation or test or smthin n needed to go back 1st.. oh well.. we had to book an additional nite of hostel but i am glad we did tt coz there was still so much we havnt seem!!!

The Berliner Dom.. a realli beautiful structure.. pk has the nite view of it.. haha can go check out his blog..

Check Point Charlie: the Berlin Wall used to have a gap here where it divides the American side n the Russian side..

Reichstag:

actually we planned to go at nite one.. but the queue was crazy.. n everyone was tired.. so we went back the next morning again.. haha n was greeted with the same amt of crazy queue.. oh well.. =p

the inside was pretty cool.. though not exactly a gd view pt of the whole city.. but the spiraling up was fun..

Easter Trip: Germany [Munich]

Munich is a realli nice place.. realli like it esp with the beer garden that serves 1 liter beers.. haha.. nice..

we went to the market in munich n it was realli cool.. they sold ALL KINDAS smoked meat.. i bought 2 kg to meat (the cheapest i could find) as my souvenir.. haha.. it was realli gd

ok.. this a a cathedral made of white chocolate completely!!! haha...

my fav place in munich.. one of the beer gardens.. which of course serves beer.. in liters!!! this one we went to is Hofbrauhaus.. [HB]

they have pple playing music while pple chat eat n of coz drink!! kinda like the tavern in the old times..

we meet up with rl n lf to go to the Neuschwanstein Castle!!!... when the pple built Disneyland.. they actually modeled after this castle.. definitely worth the trip n the long walk up.. haha

u have to walk up to a bridge and then up some slope b4 u can catch this nice perfect view of the castle.. it was realli nice from there..

went to a palace the on the 3rd day.. nothin realli exciting.. but its was nice with the gd weather we had..

Easter Trip: Germany [Heidelberg]

we stayed a little while in Heidelberg before heading to Munich.. the old town there is realli authentic.. there a castle on one side of the river n u could to to the hill top on the other side of the river to have a gd view of the entire place.. nice.. we even took a little nap there.. haha.. now tts wat i call life..

at nite.. the streets here light up n it realli nice n cozy..

the next morning.. we went up the castle..

pretty cool huh..

kk.. was in Cologne for a short while b4 we transit to Heidelberg.. haha.. got 2 cocksters beside mi who keep pointing out my typos.. shall keep this short b4 i go crazy...

Cologne Cathedral: they usually call it the Dorm.. this is a realli huge cathedral... prob one of the biggest in europe..

this is suppose to be a copy of the "statue of Peter" that is found in Florence in Italy... but they coloured it n it looks kinda ironical with some naked man behind the cathedral

okok.. i noe i said i will try to do this b4 i go on my trip.. but realli busy packaging n rounding up stuff b4 i go.. haha watever it is.. i DID come back from UK and so i was on my Easter Trip in no time.. ahha in fact.. i am now in lisbon.. 1st day here.. but i have decided to try to catch up with all the post b4 i go on abt this June trip.. so lets take a trip back to Easter now.. haha

Amsterdam is a real nice place.. no so much for the red light district n the drugs.. but there r out skirt places with nice flower festival at Keukenhof and windmills village at i dun noe where... haha

haha.. very long nvr post liao.. quite tiring actually to sort out all the photos n upload n type and..... aya.. just very troublesome...... they (the gals) keep saying my post stopped at london n nvr come back liao... ahah oh well.. ya i am alr back here in fact we went to amsterdam, germany (cologne, heiderberg, munich, berlin), czech republic (prague and chesky kumluv) and norway (olso n bergen) after after tt till the end of april.. but just very lazy to blog n had to clear the pile of school as well.. oh well...

haha hadnt travelled for almost a month liao.. quite a gd break from travelling... funny thing is people break to travel but we break from travel.. oh well.. haha.. still having my exams now actually.. infact tmr is my 2nd oral exam lioa.. *hopeful* ahha

well.. i will try to blog abt the trips above lah.. haha.. keyword is always *try*.. haha before i embark on my final europe journey for this exchange *sobz* starting to feel sad.. gotta leave soon.. yeah.. will be going to portugal, spain, switzerland, italy, greece, turkey, austria, hungry n poland... ahha i counted if i dun die of hunger along the way i will b able to visit a total of 18 europe countries!!! wohoo.. but i tink my bank account will also be left with only 18 dollars.. ahah oh well... watever... its now or NEVER!!!.. ok.. i tink i better start studying again..

oh.. in case i dun manage to blog again =p.. ahah..before we leave for the SUPER trip.. we will be going to visit as much of denmark as possible... alr booked a car rental to drive down to this outskirt island called 'Møn' (the danish has an addition crazy 'o' which is ø). yeah.. shd be quite cool.. after much 'discussion'.. ahha.. pk is going to be the driver tt day.. yeah..

so if pk dun crash us to our death.. we will be leaving denmark on 30th may n travel till 3th jul .. wow!!! yeah.. shd be back in SG by 5th jul if nothin goes wrong.. ahha wohoo.. okok.. gtg... wohoo!!! so long nvr blog quite shiok...

Janice just told mi over msn tt one of my turtles died.. the female named 'Yip' [mich named them 'Yam' and 'Yip']... apparently she was sunning them outside n 'Yip' somehow managed to jump out of the container [i alr got a realli high container for them b4 i left] and fell down 3 storeys..

tts her when she was still young.. she had always been the naughty one ever since they grew up while 'Yam' was lazier as he grew older..

the vet said it was internal bleedin n he could do nothin abt it.. it was coughin n pukin blood last nite n it died today.. could imagine how it had looked like..

had got them for close to 2 years now.. feeling realli sad now..

wohoo... we went for a buffet at a Chinese restuarant today... it was..... NICEEEEEEEE..... slurpslurp.. actually all wanted to go the nite b4.. but in the end all had to fly aeroplane for some reason or other.. so just zer n mi.. we reach there pretty late ard 4:30pm coz we had to settle the booking for our Easter Trip.. so we onli had 1 hr to eat.. coz it was suppose to b a lunch buffet.. but it was GOODDDDD.... YUMYUM.. the there was the main dished were sweet n sour pork, cheese baked salmon and spare ribs, fried chicken n prawn... slurp... but the MAIN attraction was DUCK!!! SLURPSLURP!!!

we just ate until 6:00pm aniwae.. ahah.. was realli full... ate 2 duck drumsticks and tonnes of others... haha..

decided to go to a souvenir shop coz zer said we come so long also nvr stepped into one yet.. we found some Singaporeans there.. haha.. or rather they found us... they said they could tell from our accent.. haha oh well.. they r also from NUS doing NOC in Stockholm and took a leave to come to Copehagen.. nice meeting them.. tok a little n they had to go.. cool..

our train back to Stockholm is actually 17hrs long!!! zzz.. the guys took the seats n the gals too the sleepers which was twice the price but also much more comfy.. oh well .. yi fen qian yi fen huo.. haha..

we decided to check out the City Hall Building.. which turned out pretty nice too with a nice view at the back.. n chee wei manage to get his souvenir with the word "Stockholm"

Stockholm and Kiruna Day 3 - Within the Arctic Circle..

this had to b a real long post coz EVERYTHING is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! wohoo.. could bear to miss them out of the post =P

this is the 6-man cabin tt we rented.. a gd break from the hostels tt we have been staying in haha... realli quite cool place.. comes with well equipped kitchen n a fireplace!! wohoo!! nice.. would certainly love to go back there again for a longer period of time..

embarking on our journey of snowmobile and dog slege...

took a lunch break somewhere in the middle of the woods.. n we had deer meat with potato topped with jam for lunch... wohoo!! absolutely delicious... yumyum..

this old man is the driver of the dog sledge.. n he owns 17 dogs including some of those tt were pullin us.. he came from Copehagen Denmark!! cool!!

our snowmobile came up a little peak n WOW!!! wat a view!!!

at this pt.. i would just like to say:

for those who noe wat happened... realli sry tt i had to express my moodiness.. i wasnt affect by wat u guys prob tink is the problem.. but instead.. i was just sad tt i couldnt enjoy all these with everyone else together.. n when i reach this place.. just made mi wonder the fun thrill n excitement tt i had miss with the people who were here b4...

yeah.. oh well.. life's like tt... nothin we can do abt it... just n to suk it in smtime.. sry again for the unhappiness i caused...

we stayed at Red Boat last nite.. i realli nice hostel which is actually a boat docked by the river.. whoever goes Stockholm shd stay there.. =]

today we r exploring Gamla Stan.. the "Old Town" of Stockholm.. where the Stockholm Cathedral and Royal Palace is..

ok.. this is a video of the changing of guards.. its REALLI long n boring.. so unless u REALLI have nothin better to do... DONT click it...

we found this pizza place tt sells pizza with curry, banana and ham!!! shiok ah... slurpslurp..

after 2 hrs of flight delay, we finally arrived in Kiruna..

the guide was nice enough to drive us to a supermarket and we made quite a satisfactory dinner in our cabin.. they even have this fake candle light so we had our candlelight dinner =]

haha.. then comes the highlight of the day.. while our flight was delayed we played bridge.. and like the Dai Dee there has to have a forefit.. ahah nice idea from ruoling: whoever lose will b buried in snow.. haha.. it was a tough a tough fight.. i almost died twice.. but still stood strong.. after 2/3 deuce.. ruoling [supposed to b the most pro bridge player] was defeated... muahahahaha...]

n so the burial of ruoling began...

we went out to look for northern light.. after a while we saw a small one but everyone was still very excited.. haha.. we heard the next day tt there was actually a real big one after we went back.. oh well.. nevertheless, we saw the Northern Lights.. wohoo!!!

it was one crazy day... coz of the bankrupt of the "Flyme".. n some #%$^$#%^ operator told us to go to the airport early in the morning.. we had to leave campus by ard 6am!! @#$%^&* n i forget to bring my passport so i had to run all the way back for like 10 mins in the cold.. almost died there b4 i could even go anywhere else... lucky enough my container mate was kind enough to lend mi his bike n ride back to the train st.

made it in time to reach the airport by 9am as instrusted by operated onli to find tt we had to wait till 11am b4 we can check in $%^&^#^%$&... zzz... n i paid extra fare for the train somemore... oh well... can onli suk it in...

so we decided to carry on our beauty sleep at the airport itself..

after all the commotion..we r finally in Stockholm...

greeted by a nice view once we step out of the train st.

our best model.. as always..

as u prob c.. there is not much attraction in Stockholm city itself.. even the viewing point is actually a telecom tower.. haha.. but the view up there was pretty smthin... did spent some time just havin a beer n chillin up there.. cool.. definitely worth the $$

went to meet pk's friend who was on NOC n went for dinner.. lamb curry rice!!! wohoo... hopped to a live band bar after tt.. the band played blues and was realli quite gd.. concluded tt band formed by older pple is definitly better than young ones.. ended the day to rest for the next day..

had my 1st presentation here yesterday.. went pretty well i tink.. not much questions asked.. its either we did well or pple just wanna go home.. oh well.. doesnt matter.

had been a realli busy week.. lots of work to catch up for n prep.. presentations n projects..

a little tired.. would realli love to take my time n relax n do nothin for a while.. but not quite possible from wat i c.. its either we busy traveling or busy studying here.. haha.. oh well.. it all nice.. can nvr get satisfied i guess..

ok.. finally finish updatin Paris.. coz too much liao.. a bit lazy.. but it snowed again today!! snow fight became the inevitable.. haha..

It was CNY eve.. hear there will b some lion dance parade or smthin.. so went to town to check it out.. turn out we were at the wrong place.. haha..

but we found "China lunch box"!!! was fantastic with fried chicken n prawn n fried rice/noodles topped with curry sauce.. yumyum.. definitely worth the 30 DKK... haha

the Chinese store closed early for reunion dinner.. zzz.. ahah oh well.. we made do at the Thai n Indian store instead for our indegredients for the reunion dinner..

biangzzz.. BBC weather forecast realli quite smthin.. b4 we left for Paris i checked.. they say Day 2 gd weather Day 2 gd weather.. they say Day 3 rain Day 3 realli RAINED!!!... y cant they put Day 3 gd weather also.. ahha

went to the palace.. but apparantly its still winter n it was raining.. all the statue was covered.. sad.. could have been quite a sight..

super nice weather for a tour.. wohoo!!!

1st stop: Arc de Triomphe - we came out from the Metro n it was like right in our face... quite smthin

while in search of the Eiffle Tower...

we came across the bunch of idiot posing like ultraman/ultrawoman

nice.. tok mi quite a while n a few shot to take this proper pix as have to wait for the green man then can run to the middle of the road to look for the best position.. haha its all worth it

went for the boat tour.. though we din realli made use of the boat pass.. but it was quite cool

went to Musee d'Orsay [Museum d'Orsay] after pk's friend's recommendation...

the exhibits inside r sensored.. ahha just some other interesting photos i took in there..

went next to Musee du Louvre.. but just hang ard outside.. reserve for tmr.. [turn out to b a blessing.. haha]

ok.. this is on top of some church whether the story "hunchback of notre dame" originated.. if u r not too stupid.. the name of the church is Notre Dame..

yeah.. went to ski.. wun say skiing is the most fun thing to do.. esp when u r not pro.. but it was realli quite an adventure on sat.. haha..

we were late to catch the public bus to go to town for our pick up.. so we had to RUN!!! 6plus in the morning.. u c 6 idiots running in our coats n boots.. ahha.. quite cok.. watever.. take it as warm up lah..

and it was realli quite cold.. Isaberg is actually a man-made skiiing place.. and i have to say it realli quite not so easy to learn.. one thing is we din book a beginning class to learn n just jump into it.. another thing is we werent well-equipped.. though we booked skies n stuff.. we couldnt find waterproof pant.. so we had to go in in our jeans.. haha.. oh well.. it all worked out ok lah.. not too bad.. its tiring too.. after a while we were all exhausted n sweating.. cant realli imagine sweating in the ski ground huh..

there r actually many kid there... liek 4-5 yrs onli.. but they all realli quite pro.. sometimeswhen the zer fall they will actually come by n help her up.. cool rite.. quite interestin..

we were mostly in the easiest slope but we were still fallin here n there.. haha.. on big problem was stopping.. no choice loh.. in the end we try to get pointers by asking other pple n watchin.. we actually went to eardrop on another class.. ahha =P..

haha.. the colouring of the slope is like black[toughest], red, blue and green[easiest].. but since we not pro we dun dare to go take the cable up to the highest where its toughest.. but tts where the scenery is!!! not to be missed.. so mi n pk decided to give it a try.. it was kinda weird coz we werent wearing out skies n everyone was like "was this 2 chinese cocks doing here w/o skies" when we were queueing for the cable.. oh well.. watever.. i was telling pk.. just tink tt u wun c these pple anymore after today.. ahha

and so we r up... super COOL!! there was nice scenery sun n everythin.. haha.. but going down was the toughest.. coz there is no proper path down.. so we had to bash through the trees by the side of the ski slope so that we dun have to roll down from the slope.. trust mi.. it wasnt easy..

of coz we decided to try the a little more advance slope.. ahah.. so when pk went up with zer again [pk realli the hero man..] we decided to try the 2nd slope..

haha.. look quite pro rite?? look onli..

yeah.. i would proudly say i had ski b4 now.. ahah.. =P.. wohoo!!

after one week of class... i came to the conclusion that NUS realli suk.. realli dun understand y such a well known institute cant have lecturers tt can speak proper english... at least understandable english.. like i go for class here.. even though english is not the 1st lang.. i could so clear undrestand wat they r trying to say.. [regardless the topic or interest of the content] even the danish class lect could speak better than some of the lecturers i have meet bk home... sigh.. wish i could just finish my term here.. oh well..

wah biang!!! the books here r all super EX!!!! zzz... the lecturer gave us textbooks for readings n when we went to look for the books [mi, rl, pk and sm taking the same courses for thurs].. woo!!! they r all like 700-800DKK which is all ard 200SGD!!! zzz... so we decided to take the cheapest way out.. i would say the free way actually.. ahha...

copy loh... =P but photocopy also need to pay.. but scan is free.. so we had to spent time scanning the pages we need.. zzz oh well..

so rl printed n i help press the button.. ahha... n compile...

today 1st lecture here.. wah quite shack.. realli 4 hrs straight.. phew.. got 2 breaks lah.. but still... oh well.. a lot emphasis on group work... class is realli small... onli 30+ i tink.. pretty cool coz i could realli understand wat he sayin not like some lecturers back at home.. haha.. n i tink i prefer small groups... well... will just c how the rest of the lects work out lah.. haha..

whoo!!! went to Helsingor [in Denmark] and Helsingborg which is arcoss the river in Sweden [about 20mins boat ride] on sunday.. actually planned to go on sat.. but pk's sis suppose to come on sat.. n he had to go a meet her at the airport.. oh well.. but it was great fun.. especially we had new blood with her sis comin along for the trip wohoo!!!

BUT..... IT RAINED!!!! =[

zzz.. oh well.. we still deicided to carry on the entire trip nevertheless coz we paid altogether like 14 zones [meanin 79DKK = 21SGD] for the transport!!! must finish everythin n not come back again for small things.. haha... well traveling is like tt one lah.. haha

THE FORTRESS.. basically comprises of one tall tower which over looks the opposite side of the river.. but there was rain.. so we couldnt c much.. but it was cool for just 20DKK

a day visit to the Calsberg Brewery.. interestin..
we din actually went to the brewery itself lah.. haha but theres this visitor centre place tt tells us the history of Calsberg.. ahha.. at the end of the tour theres 2 Free beer too... haha.. not the normal kind.. they have all sorts of brews here.. wooh!!

at the end of the day.. one of our women was kinda drunk.. so we went a dinner at some jap place.. though recommended but still pretty ex... still nice to have asian food though.. haha.. i had some "Cha Han" which means Fried Rice.. n i got literately fried rice too.. ahha.. it was like ONE BIG BOWL full of rice tt is fried.. haha.. minimal meat n stuff.. basically 98% was rice like.. get the idae?? haha.. i stress.. its ONE BIG BOWL.. so i was realli quite full after tt.. ahah

wohoo.. orientation is actually a few days lah... kinda ice breakers for the entire day for the 1st day.. the Danes realli emphasis a lot on teamwork.. part of the game is to bridge this bridge with plastic cups, straws, balloons, etc.. our bridge pretty cool huh??

the key is to make it strong enough to hold as many cans of beer as we can.. haha.. coz it all ended with us drinking up all the beer n partyin in student house... =P

the next day, we went to for our Copenhagen tour.. couldnt have missed this statue of the little mermaid.. Denmark's most famous attraction.. if u as mi wat Denmark is famous for now.. it would b all the fairy tales by this Christian... smthin guy who wrote all the tales like little mermaid n the girl n matchsticks... apparently he is a very sad guy with a lousy love life.. so all his stories have sad endings.. oh well..

this is actually an outdoor natural ice skatin ring.. haha pretty cool huh? the pple in the light r trying to perform their live band in the middle of the ring!!! mind u.. its still REALLI REALLI cold.. well.. it all ended with us partying at the student house in Town of coz.. =P

kinda for our 1st trip today.. to Sweden..... 's Ikea in Denmark.. haha.. so cold.. and raining.. we had to walk in the rain coz we wanted to save $$ ahha.. zzz..

everything is just so expensive.. in SG.. i dun even wanna drink coke.. here.. i so wanna drink coke but its just too expensive.. like more than 3 bucks in SG.. siao..

but luckily.. there is IKEA!!! muahaha... the drink inside is cheap an refillable.. ahah.. so the 5 of us.. [mi, peikai, chee wei, ruoling n zer] practically just shared one refiller cup n took turns to go refill the cup... haha.. more or less tasted all the flavours... shd have kept the cup for refill next time.. ahha.. in the end.. it was just ard 30cents per person =P
